EFINC is currently capable of supplying mil-spec PDAs, Notebook PCs, tablet PCs, and IC chips. We also have excellent access to active and passive RFID technologies, biometric detection and management systems, high-quality LED lightings, and the safest, long-lasting, long cycle-life LFP batteries. Our RFID partner’s systems have been used in many applications worldwide. It recently won a contract and installed a system in Taipei that can penetrate 40cm of pavement plus 30cm of water. Our partner for LFP batteries owns 12 patents and has begun supplying battery packs for commercial use. This new battery technology has many advantages over traditional lead-acid and other lithium ion batteries. For example it is safe, unlike LiCoO2 and LiMnO2 batteries, in high-current charge-discharge processes. This makes it capable of reaching 85% full within 30 minutes. A significant advantage for submarines! LFP batteries have cycle life of greater than 2000 charges while that of other lithium ion batteries are about 500, and lead-acid batteries still less. They also have much higher power-weight ratio—more than double that of LiMnO2 and over seven times higher than lead-acid batteries. If used in military equipments, this technology would greatly reduce logistical burdens. Furthermore, LFP batteries are non-flammable and produce no toxic gas, thus require no special machines to remove hydrogen and other gases as current submarine batteries do. However, our emphasis is not on supplying individual products but rather on our capability to integrate different technologies into customized solutions that meet our clients’ specific needs. For example, the PDAs and computers would be parts of our instant wireless network system which can be set up within minutes wherever a closed wireless network is required. Various features can be added to the wireless network by incorporating the RFID, biometrics, and other surveillance modules to provide solutions for perimeter security (including CBRN incident areas, fire and natural disaster scenes), counterterrorism surveillance, tag-track-target, or local command and control. Our near-term goal is to supply products (ICs, mil-spec electronic equipments, wireless sensor networks) and customized solutions through our partners in the United States. For the longer term, we hope to establish partnership with prime suppliers in the U.S. to serve as a one-stop supply center and a regional R&D, supply, and service center.
